"First Lady Fashions" Girl Scout Event

  • Mary Todd Lincoln House (map)

Junior Girl Scouts are invited to a fashion-centric event inspired by Mary Lincoln and African American dressmaker Elizabeth Keckley. Scouts will make a living timeline about the two women, stitch a needle case, see 19th-century fashions, and create an 1860s dress design board. Reservations required by contacting slewis@gswrc.org at Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road.

Free parking is available via Tucker Street in the lot of our neighbors at Main Street Baptist Church. Metered parking (free after 5PM) is also available on Main Street..
