Located in the heart of downtown Lexington, the Mary Todd Lincoln House is within easy walking distance of downtown hotels, the Civic Center and Rupp Arena.

March 15 - November 30
Monday through Saturday (closed on Sundays)
Tours available 10:00 am - 3:00pm (close at 4pm)

ADMISSION:

Adults: $9
Children ages 6-12: $4
Children under age 6: Free

Group tours are available by appointment year round.  A group rate is available for 15 or more visitors.

FIELD TRIPS:

PARKING & ACCESSIBILITY :

  • Free parking is located directly behind the house.
  • The museum is partially wheelchair accessible. The first floor may be reached via a handicap lift and is wheelchair navigable. The upper floors of the museum are not wheelchair accessible. Photographs of the upper floors are available for visitors who are unable to tour the upstairs.
  • Written text materials are provided for the hearing impaired and dry erase boards are available to facilitate communication between the tour guide and a hearing impaired visitor if desired.
  • Folding chairs are available upon request for visitors who have difficulty standing for extended periods of time.
  • Guide dogs with harness are permitted.

This two-story brick, late Georgian house with its stone water table and belt course was built in 1803-1806 as an inn by William Palmateer.
