Death, Mourning and Mrs. Lincoln - Virtual Program

Join museum staff to explore how the many losses Mary Lincoln suffered reflected the ways in which 19th-century Americans coped with death. This illustrated lecture will feature historical sources that illustrate evolving funerary and mourning customs and unorthodox practices such as spiritualism.

This free virtual program will take place via the online meeting platform Zoom. Recommended for ages 14-up. Online registration is required.
